Hi all, having a problem with my maf, which one of the causes could be wiring, i unplugged it and tested the wiring for continuity with a multimeter (i'm no expert with these things) there are 5 wires
    1. yel/blue
    2. red/white
    3. black
    4. red/green
    5. yellow
when testing no.2 and no.3 i'm receiving a 'beep' which means these two wires are connected at some point (i assume)
is this normal or an indication of where the problem lies?
    can anyone help me please,
    Tommy.

I think you'll need to check a wiring diagram there to see what does what, most MAF sensors have the air temp bult in too, have you ever done a "volt drop" test? It's more reliable than just a resistance test checking if the wire fails under load. Find the signal wires and check them back to the ecu with a volt drop, most work on a 5v feed.

Hope this helps you in the right direction.

thanks for the reply, i cant find a wiring diagram of the engine loom, i'll try the volt drop test and see where that leads me and post back, thanks for the help.
