    Hi Guys, I am new to this and never used forums before, goingthrough Bimmerforums threads is great. I have a problem!!! I have read through the forum but not found anything strong enough for me to go ahead and repair. I have a 2002 530D Sport E39 saloon Auto, over the past few weeks i have electronic faults developing and they include;
    1......Indicators on dashboard cluster dont work and doesnt make click noise, but indicators externally work fine
    2......PDC dont work it just makes a long 5 second bleep sound then turns off
    3......Reverse lights work sometimes, and sometime they dont
    4......Alarm fob dont work at all, have to unlock/lock car manually with the key
    5......Recently all electrics failed i.e. windows, sunroof, mirrors until i switch car on/off this happened twice now
    6......There aren't any warning lights on dashboard showing YET!! but all show up on ign 2
    7......External temp reading always showing -40

    problems 1,2,3,4 started at the same time and rest started afterwards although problem 7 have always been there since i purchased the car 2 years ago.

    Any idea please???? I have had the car plugged in but dont come to solid conclusion. Before I send the car to auto electrician charging £70/hour please try to help me!!!!

    Mechanically the car is running fine although really heavy on fuel consumption approx 18MPG thought they will give around 28!!!

    ide say ya need a good auto electrician...but has the smell of of a GM5 module fault about it..

    ide diesregard 7 and PDC fault as contributors they are common faults duff outside temp probe and PDC sensors..
