I think both the wires from the valvetronic motor both go to the DME (engine management) Has he checked all the fuses etc in the e-box?

The 2 from the motor are connected ok.It's the black thin one that runs along the 2 motor cables I don't know where to put. It appears to be round at the tip so it's held by a bolt or nut. It's coming from where the 2 valvetronic cables are coming from.

    Help

I think this might be the cable your talking about, under the nut.

hi, thanks for the reply. I have checked mine and uploaded 2 pics. the second shows the cable, tried to pull it to the big nut but its soo short suggesting in goes somewhere near the engine?

is it definately an earth wire? and how can i clear the eml light without a diagnostic machine?

I think it needs re-routing, if you take it back to the black plastic box, remove the rubber seal, lift the box out and feed it through to the other side it should reach.

You can buy code readers or software on fleabay, i got one for about £30, well worth having, reads and clears codes plus other features.
