    hi folks

    just had mechanic round to look at car,diag says crankshaft sensor.does anyone know cost and fitted prices pls .

    You can get the sensor for around £40, (make sure its a genuine BMW sensor)the job itself takes about 2-3 hrs.
    The last hourly rate I heard for BMW dealers was £160, a BMW independant would be cheaper.
    Probably worth changing the oil seperator (£30) at the same time as doing the crankshaft sensor while everything is off.
