Whenever I leave the car for a week or more I have a flat battery. The battery has been replaced 3 times now and the alternator has been checked. Garage has tested for drain twice and found nothing. Auto electronics specialist has found nothing.
To cap it all I am now experiencing intermittent power loss - engine just dies at low revs and the key fob is also playing up.
Where do I go from here?

The FSU(Final Stage resistor Unit) are known to keep the heater fan blowing ever so slightly, which runs the battery down. Same as on the e46's.

What auto sparky and garage did you use if you don't mind me asking?

There's a great auto electrician(Pete) down Cox Avenue, which is off Castle Lane, Bournemouth, he's probably one of the best in Dorset, he'll be able to find the problem.

His workshop is just behind the Autocentre on the corner of Cox Avenue and Castle Lane.
