    just changed discs and pads (front) and sensor light will not go out on the dash does anyone no if it needs to be reset or could it just need a new sensor cable. car is 330d 2001

    You will need a new sensor as well, since the existing one is worn. That is why your light illuminated in the first place.

    ok thanks ill change it. i thought it only come on when it touched the disc. thanks 4 your help.

    Once it touches the disc, the carbon material on the sensor wears down and creates an open circuit within the sensor. Remember, once replaced, the light will still be illuminated, so close all the doors and leave the ignition in position 2 without starting. It will take up to 30 seconds for the system to reset.
