Hi, this is my first post.

I have recently bought a 2001 330ci E46 cabriolet. However the radio reception is rubbish.
I have checked the amplifier and that has power going to it.
The oddest thing however is that if I unplug the aerial from the amplifier the reception improves!

Has anyone had the same fault or have any idea of the problem??

    Many thanks.

P.S. if the is in the wrong place I am sorry.

Sounds like the ariel is shot, you could try connecting another ariel up just to test this theory
