i am fairly new to the bmw scene, had my car a couple of weeks now. a thing i have always changed on my previous cars was changing all intereior bulbs to LEDs, they look better and if you are famous for leaving lights on overnight it doesnt really affect the battery because the drain is so small. so far i have changed all bulbs(footwells, rear interior lights, glovebox, vanity mirror lights) except the front centre light bulb. when i change the front centre bulb to an LED and press the on button it comes on for about a second then goes out along with all the other interior lights that normally come on when the doors are open. there is nothing wrong with the interior light fuses when i check them. the only way for me to get the lights all to work again is to put the bulb back in and pull out the no.7 fuse. when i pull out the fuse the car beeps twice then goes onto a solid beep until i return the fuse. after the two beeps have sounded and the fuse is returned to its housing the interior lights work again. does anyone know why the car wont let me install this final LED and how to get round the problem so i can?

It may be the light control module not agreeing with the change in resistance, but it's only a suggestion, I can't be sure unfortunately
