    Hi,

What I am looking to do is, instead of springing for a a light control unit, to supply external power from the lighter socket to the side lights.

I have the appropriate tools and know-how aside from knowing which of the wires that are coming out of the light control unit, are for the side lights.

If someone can help with this, I would be VERY greateful as it would save me having to pay about £250+ to get it replaced!

Thank you and I eargerly await your replies!

You do realise that the lighter is continuously on and not ignition switched with your model, right?

Yes it would be better to come from the fuse box using a spare space and a fuse rated for the lights, the one for the lighter would be too high a rating.
Cant help with wiring diagrams but tracing them out from the lamps isnt that hard.

    hi guys

    thanks for the replies

i think ill be putting a switch on there

also, i hv no clue how to make it come from the fuse box etc. any guides available?

    OR

is there any way that i could grab power from somewhere else and point it at the side lights?

also, how do i find the wires for the side lights? do i looka the colours of the wires going into the lights at the front then match tht up with the ones coming out of the LCU?
