So, as the title says my interior fan intermittently comes on full from time to time no matter what position the control unit is on.

It usually only happens when the car has heated up and happens quicker on hot days; so I'm thinking it must be a heat sensor somewhere.

I'm thinking it could be a sensor in the a/c system but would that put the fan up full crank? as there is not auto climate control that works the fan to temperature...

This problem persists whether the a/c is on or off so it's no interior heat sensor.

    Help appreciated.

Cheers for that easy fix at least.

Could you do me a quick favor and do a search for me..? It's an odd request I know but my search function isn't working.
I logged it with support mod but as you said I dont want to find my car not starting one morning

    Cheers

I suppose I should have mentioned that I don't have electronic controls.?
Well they are electronic i suppose but there are knobs not buttons and no screen but due to the slow action of heat and vents changing I think its still motorised.

Can anyone tell me if this problem still happens on a/c systems with out electronic controls or automatic a/c as BMW say?

Unashamed link to my own hedgehog guide:-

    http://www.diablo944.co.uk/hedgehog.htm

more detailed replacement guide for UK models (only difference is the glovebox, FSR is still in same place and same orientation).

There is also a PDF on the page should it be needed for offline use or printing specific portions.
2002 325 Compact Sport ti M-Tec---- A little thanks goes a long way
