Hey i've found 3 different explanations for this code so I want to know which one it is,

    its p1151 on a 325 e46 coupe

The ones on this site says:
P1151 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Signal Intermittent (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P1151 Lack Of HO2S-21 Switch Indicates Lean
P1151 ETS Main Accel Position Sensor 2 Malfunction

    So which is it guys??

Sorted the misfiring problem and shivering at idle,
had a look at intake pipes and cant find any big cracks.

PXXXX codes are not BMW specific codes, if you get the cars engine ECU read with a proper BMW specific scanner you'll get more defined codes which will help you out alot more.

Many manufacturers have their own codes as they don't want every Tom, Dick and Harry being able to read them.

Get the codes read at a BMW Indy specialists or a Indy that can properly read BMW codes

OK i might have to yeah,

just looked at autodata and on my car there isnt anything listed for p1151
    bit annoying oh well,

does it need to be bmw or any garage with a GT1 or any other scanner that will get the BMW codes?

Any garage with a BMW suitable scanner, so GT1 or Autologic, I work at a Indy and our Omnitech scanner does BMW's, your be best to ring up before hand and ask if they can read the BMW codes.
