Hi all, hope someone out there can help me, I have recently purchased a tom/tom sat nav, this is supplied with (1) charger lead (cigarette plug on one end,and usb plug on the other,) this goes into the sat nav. including my work van i use (3) vehicle's, now my question is this, i need charger leads in each vehicle, and as i have (2) unused mobile phone chargers that look identical to the tom/tom ( cigarette plug/usb,connector ) fused @2 amp, i wonder if i can use these, as i always thought all cigarette / usb leads are common to each other , if this is the case and someone could confirm it is o/k to use these other leads for charging the tom /tom this would save me approx £30 as tom/tom replacements are approx £15 each, Please help if you can, Pete.

If they are Motorola originals, then they have a different configuration.

Cheers NealP, Thanks for the reply, you were spot on, my spare charging leads are motorola, i thought these usb leads were like t/v skart leads and any make could be interchanged, even though my leads are only needed for charging purposes i will take your advice that the motorola configuration could be different to tom/tom and not use them, spend the hard earned money and buy tom/tom originals, many thanks Pete.
