Hi all, I have a E46 320D and everytime you press the heated rear windscreen button it knocks out the aerial amplifier for the radio! When listenening to local radio its not a problem but obviously longer distance radio stations need to be amplified. I can only think theres a short somewhere. Not overly bothered just a bit annoying. Anyone else had this?

this is caused by the rear windscreen heating elements which contain the antennas becoming corroded due to condensation over time. the tracks in the glass short circuit to each other and the current flow when the heater is on causes the electromagnetic interference. new rear window is the fix.
