Recently the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob have needed to be pressed several times to work, sometimes I've needed to press the locking button followed by the unlock button in order to unlock the car. I've followed the reprogramming instructions found in earlier posts but the doors didn't lock/unlock after completing the sequence. I understand that the key fob has a rechargable battery, could this be coming to the end of it's life?, is it possible to replace it? I can't see a way to open it up without force or is this a dealer job?

The key can be opened up and the battery replaced, see here http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...key-fob-t1563/.

Also the modules can play up later in life so have a read here http://www.bmwgm5.com/
