    Hi all,

I've got a pre-facelift 2001 E46 318ci (picture attached) with the standard halogen headlights. I want to buy some xenon lights and have got the local BMW specialist trying to source some genuine 330 or M3 xenon lights for it.

Im willing to spend the money to make sure that they are definately the right fit and will get through an MOT but someone has suggested Umnitza headlights as an alternative?

Has anyone ever tried these? Are they any good or should I just pay the extra and get genuine BM ones?? Also, would like to get the angel eyes but dont know whether to get CCFL or LED ones?

I literally havent got a clue what to buy so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers, Daz.

You'll have to retro-fit headlamp washers and self levelling kit to get xenons to pass an mot, they're getting pretty harsh on them.

Hmm I see, would you say its more hassle than its worth? What about angel eyes, are they ok on MOT's?

    Angel eyes are fine

You'v got a lot of work (and expense) on your hands if you want to fit xenons, thy do make a HID kit that uses H7R bulbs which are said to be ok in halogen headlights, won't pass an mot though, got the H7R's on mine and on MOT day i just happened to chose to use normal bulbs for that day
