    Hi all.

Recently had the head gasket go and then replaced. Head pressure tested fine.
About 5-10 miles after picking her up the engine management light came on. Plugged it in and the following came up:

125 - Signal, oxygen sensor before catalytic converter (p0130)
    138 - Signal, Knock sensor 2 (p0330)
    137 - Signal, Knock Sensor 1 (p0325)
    141 - Oxygen - sensor control, control limit (p0170)

These were taken from a print out. Does anyone know what the problem could be to make these codes come up all at once?

    2001 E46 316iSE with 1.9 M43 engine.

Two things spring to mind, firstly have the knock sensors been plugged back in?
Was the head skimmed and what gasket was fitted?

The O2 sensors could be from either misfires or airleaks etc.

I am a complete novice when it comes to bmw engines. I would hope that the guy plugged the knock sensors back in but dont know where they would be to check them.
As for the head, i have no idea. I gave him the car and paid the bill at the end of it.
I have noticed that ehen the car is started from cold there is a leak from what i believe is the air pump. Large cylinder after the EGR valve.

Air pump leak could do the lambdas.
Try clearing the codes, switching the ignition on, and see if the knock sensors come on without starting the car.
That would point to sensors being unplugged if the code comes back quickly.

Where are the knock sensors located? Haven't got access to a diagnostics tool. Was thinking of buying one of the OBD2 cables of fleabay.

Part 17, it'll be screwed onto the side of the engine block, but at least you know what you are looking for, and also that is the plug to check out.
