Hi guys, on an E39 saloon, how do I get the number plate light units out? Do I prise out of the socket from the OUTSIDE of the lid, or do I have to remove the black plastic panel INSIDE the bootlid and push the holder outwards?

I've found it on REALOEM, but it only show the light holder locations, not blown up enough to show how to get to them.

Yeah, you simply put a flat blade screwdriver in the slot on the outside of the light around the edge of the lense and slide the whole unit to the side, it will then pop out. I struggled sussing it too but its simple when you know how.

Ok, I saw the slot on the outside, but didn't want to rip the paint trying to get the screwdriver in there and prise. Ok, fanx will give that a go then. So it's like changing the side repeaters then, slide to one end and it'll spring out sorta thing.
