Hi guys just when I think Big Bertha is 100% something else is sent to vex me.
I noticed that I was getting through a lot of washer fluid and had the wife operate the spray, sure enough washer fluid was flooding out the bottom of the wheel arch. I took the arch cover apart suspecting a craked pipe etc and found nothing wrong, so had her do it again and found that the fluid was coming out of the top of the Intesive clean tank. It looks as if it is pushing water from the main washer fluid tank into the intensive clean instead of sucking the fluid out and adding it to the normal washer fluid.

Has anyone had experience of this and if so how did you fix it. I am thinking that it is a valve that is stuck open in the pump.

Is it easy to replace the pump or is it one of those wondeful BMW especially difficult to reach places (like the final stage resistor!!!) that you need to stick it in the garage to fix?

As always your knowledge and wisdom is very thankfully received.

    Si

The first thing I would suggest is to clean the bottle out, shown here http://tinyurl.com/cmrf3t then give it a try

While you have the covers off you can check the pumps out

Cheers Ronnie great advice as always I am not sure if it is the tank that needs cleaning as they all work it just seems to be squirting water into the intensive tank as well as onto the windows. I will check out the bottle when I get some time next week.
    Cheers
