    Hi everyone I have a Bmw 530d sport which I have owned for 6 month and is an awsum car!It has developed some electrical issues it all started last night when driving normal firstly the cd changer turned onto radio then the indicator illumination stoprd working on the dash and i couldnt hear the relay alltho I could still see the indictors work on the outside,also as I kept driving the volume on the steering wheel stoped working.I dissconnected the battery when I got home for 10 min but made no difference.I have used it this morning and noticed it was ok again but soon after the problem was back!also noticed wont lock with remote key now either.Please can any1 help I no my way around cars but ive never had this before.ThankyouBen

    Have you checked the loom that goes into the bootlid?These wires have been known to break over time and can cause electrical havoc

    Your symptoms sound much like those of the common ignition switch failure. Sometimes, you can flip down the sunvisors and open the mirror covers and it fixes/changes the symptoms, and if so it would appear to be the switch.

    seconded, i'd go with the ignition switch. Luckily its a fairly cheap fix, the parts about 35 quid from the stealers
