    Hi guys,

Last night my engine warning light came on briefly for about 20 miles until I stopped to fill up then it went off again.

I've recently had a remap and started using 99 RON fuel.

I've checked my error codes using a Peake code reader and I got the following codes:

    E3 - O2 sensor adaptation limit cylinder # 1-3

    E4 - O2 sensor adaptation limit cylinder # 4-6

Do you think this could just be a faulty pre cat O2 sensor or something more to it than that. Could this be signs of an air leak?

It seems a coincidence that I've just had the remap done and used about 2 tanks of Tesco Momentum and now I get this light come on for the first time ever.

Any opinions or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

I drove it 40 miles this morning and the light hasnt come back on again yet.

    Any ideas?

I might clear the codes and see if they reappear.

    Thanks

prolly a vacuum leak...i think they corrospond to 227 and 228 BMW codes...

    http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...enewal-t85610/

yal prolly running at +8% LTFT this would confirm a vacuum leak if you get it checked on INPA or BMW diagnostics...

    227 P0188 Fuel trim (Bank 1),
    O2 control
    adaptation limit

    228 P0189 Fuel trim (Bank 2),
    O2 control
    adaptation limit

bin mapped tho so it maybe a map problem upsetting the fuel/air ratio, you'de have to talk to the mapper...
330i sport a big chunk of berlin...

It was the MAF at fault, even before i managed to break it whilst trying to clean it! Ive checked the lower intake boot and it was in good condition with no leaks at all. Reset all adaptations and driven about 50 miles and so far so good, no fault codes either.
