    hi does anyone know how to fit the oil level sensor on a e46 330ci,do i have to remove the sump?

    No, you don't need to remove the sump, just drain the oil, then unbolt the sensor from the bottom of the sump. See number 14 here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...87&hg=11&fg=10
