    hi im new here so bare with me guys, basically i brought the led cluster backlights for my x reg e46 330ci se coupe to make it look more modern but now i have the backlight lights on permantly on the dash and the lights them self flicker every now and then and the back left one only lights up half way. Im pretty sure the lights are not faulty as i brought them brand ne. Any help would be much appreciated as its so annoying!!!

    Don't quote me on this but if I remember to eliminate the fault you disconnect positive first then negative on the battery then leave for 2 hours or so then reconnect pos then neg and should fix the problem.only problem will be if you have nav so you might need to install again

    Do you have aftermarket numberplate bulbs or other bulbs and are they Canbus error free ones as they can throw faults up too if incorrect

    Part of the problem is the check control that checks for blown bulbs.
    You need your light switch unit (which is also the lights ECU) recoded to remove cold checking (why they flicker) and possibly the hot check aswell. You can try a large capacitor across the lights to fool the ECU into thinking normal bulbs are fitted.

    Why one cluster only lights up at half brightness suggests a wiring or cluster fault.

    I got the same problem. Check light seems to come on and go off as it fees like it, despite no problems with the bulbs.
    E46 2001 330ci m-sport, M3 bonnet, M3 wings, M3 mirrors, M3 bumper, diamond cut 19" M3 alloys, lowered, black nappa interior, ccfl angel eyes, black indicators, LED rear lights, Simota CAI

    they are eagle eyes i brought them on ebay and they were shipped from germany, thanks for all your posts.
