After posting about the DSC light staying on. Now it has gone off, I can't turn it off to bring the light on. Also the heated seats have stopped working. I'm assuming this is a wiring problem behind the panel (maybe earth?)

Has anyone had a similar problem?

I don't have a haynes yet, is it a simple job to remove the panel to check the wiring behind?

    Thanks a lot

I have a problem with my heated seats also. When i press the switches the lights just flashbut dont stay on and the seats dont heat up. I have tried a different switch pack but the same thing happened so i now dont know what the problem could be. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Hmmm really not sure on this one, never heard of them flashing before.

    Have you tested the fuses?

Could be a loose wire somewhere along the line. migt be worth just checking all the ones you can see first.

Sorry I can't be any more help

    Seat heating fuses are F12 (7.5A) and F42 (30A).

dsc light, thats the orange one with a kind of circle round it, if so my dsc light was on. my mate works at bmw in the warranty dept and took my key away and said it needs a hydro unit, luckily the garage i bought it from are fixing it.

wiring is such a nightmare, good luck sourcing the problem.

Yeah its odd, the lights flash for a second when you press the buttons but dont stay on. I am going to check the fuses again, ive also tried a different switch pack and had the same thing. Noone really seems to have had this problem on any forum ihave tried so im kinda getting stuck. BMW tracked the fault to the switch pack but like i said i have tried a different switch pack and had the same problem
