Hey guys, had enough of my bloody headlight being red on my dashboard, it's time to fix it!

What is it? I'm using an OEM new light, i've been told it's fine with motorised lights - although it doesnt seem to be operating, this could be down to toher things though as i had a slight bump on that side. I've checked all the fuses in the main fuse panel and they're all perfectly fine so here's the questions.

These are normal headlights for my 330d.

    Where is the headlight motor?
How much would it cost to put a decent make of Xenons in?
What are the best angel eye's to get if your to get some (I head some leak!!)?

    Thanks fella's

First off, do the sidelights work with the ignition switched off?

Sidelights are the lights that come on when you turn your light switch to the first setting - when the dash lights up but your headlights aren't on. At this point go and look at the front of your car and your sidelights should be on.

Thanks guys, just tested it and no the left one doesnt work. Is that the reason for the Red light in my dash?? What do you think could be wrong with it? Bust bulb or worse? :(

Where are the motor(s) for the motorised lights btw fella's? I fear my light may need replacing AGAIN and thats something i simply cant afford to do atm :(

You need a bulb, Bosch number BLB501B

All in all it's a Capless 5w bulb, known as a 501 style.
