Apologies if this has been posted many times before but i'm just looking for some advice.

Basically the fans seem to be working very intermittantly with the climate control unit. When the do work they can be controlled by the main unit, ie speed and temp before just stopping.

The garage I took it to seemed to think it was the unit and they would be able to get a secondhand one for about £50, but i've been searching through the forums and several people have mentioned the final stage resistor, is this likely to be the cause or is it the unit?

    Thanks in advance

A problem FSU will blower the fans at higher/lower speeds without you touching the control panel. Sometimes if you turn the unit off, it will still make the fan blow. Is this what is happening?

No when the units off the fans don't blow, when the fans do come on at random they seem to go to the speed set on the control unit then go off after a little while sometimes a few seconds sometime a minute. Hope that makes sense.

The fans all sound ok, no bearing noises or anything

Then I would suspect the control unit as well.
