    The trim is easy to get out, remove the tray at the bottom, two expandable rivtis, remove the light, start at the top arround the boot lid, and pull the rubber seal back and the capret will pop out, once you started a bit you can move all the way arround and i tcomes out easy
    Not quite right Sam, my business hu has 1 screen and works the cd changer fine

    At the OP the BMW changer lives in the boot is this these one you mean?
    Things to do:

    Buy a petrol fuelled BMW again

    The CD Changer is in the boot, it is a 6CD changer which comes as an option from new.
    The player has never worked, nor come up when i press mode

    Ok well theres a fuse on the back of the changer if you follow sam1832's post on how to remove it you can check that fuse, also check the fuse in the glovebox if you havent already
    Things to do:

    Buy a petrol fuelled BMW again

    So thanks for all your help
    I went to check the fuse in the CD changer today, which was ok at this point i realised it had been unplugged
    Then as the power to the unit came on i went to eject the cartridge, only to realise there wasn't one
    I've had a look on ebay, and there seems to be a lot on offer, any ideas which one i need
    It's the standard CD changer
