... mirror switches? My car has fold up mirrors (e46 cs cab) but only one mirror works. After looking in the manual, it shows the toggle switch and simply a left and right switch BUT also another button that you press to fold mirrors up? Mine hasnt.

Have i the wrong switch fitted?

Have looked on ebay for one but all look identical to mine

Maybe this explains why the left mirror does not work?

    Any help appreciated guys

Sounds like you have the same non-folding system as me. The Owner's Handbook explains that the 3rd button (optional) will fold in and out the door mirrors. I'm intrigued by your mention of one mirror being powered as the Handbook doesn't mention a single powered mirror option.

Right, my drivers mirror folds up but passenger doesnt. All drivers side fuctions work but passenger does nothing. When you flick the switch to left side (passenger mirror) the drivers mirror folds up???? Thats why i was thinking was maybe the wrong switch??

If is the correct switch, how do you fold mirrors up? Owners handbook clearly shows "3 rd" button as you have said?

p.s the only fuction the passenger mirror does is "tilt" when you put in reverse. but nothing else. And both mirrows are electric fold up type. Maybe been added and i need this later switch with "3rd" button?

"When you flick the switch to left side (passenger mirror) the drivers mirror folds up????"

On mine, as per Handbook, when you flick the switch to the left you can use the pointy switch to make viewing angle adjustments to its glass, flick to the right to adjust the driver's-side glass. if you leave the selector switch to the right (ready to adjust the driver's door mirror) then, whenever you select reverse gear, the passenger mirror will dip to give you a more useful view of the kerb. If you prefer it not to dip during reverse, leave the mirror selector switch to the left.

I'm still intrigued by your single (driver's side) powered folding mirror, though! Please reply when you get to the bottom of this!

the mirrors should only fold up if you have the switch with the square button next to the switch for left and right mirrors. if teh switch you have doesnt have this button then by rights your mirrors shouldnt fold up.
