    Hi all,

Seen a lot of airbag warning light threads, but this one is a little different?

Airbag warning light on my 2000 320i Touring comes on, but only when my wife is sitting in the passenger seat. If I am by myself its fine.

So am guessing it's something to do with the seat sensors on her side, but not sure. Could it be fauly occupancy sensor or similar?

Can take it to the stealers for a code check, but wondered if it's worth checking for loose connections first, as it can come on when moving seat around/grabbing First aid kit etc?

Any thoughts would be useful, will check it tomorrow for wiring/connections once it's daylight!

Thanks, great forum by the way. Also have an issue with the Window regulators, but thats well covered on here already!!!!!

    Stephen

sounds like the sensor in the seat is playing up mate, common prob. you can check the connections.

My E36 has the same problem. I bought a reset tool from ebay so in the rare time i have a passenger i have to reset it afterwards. Not ideal. A proper cure is to get a new sensor under the seat.

Not the ideal fix, but may be easier, and slightly cheaper than a seat repair is this:
