    Hi guys,

I am having an issue that my car once in a while will not start. There is no clear pattern for the problem - only that it usually apears in varm weather (above 25 degree celsius where I live).

My battery has been tested and it should be OK. I have bought a multimeter and over a 2 months period I have meassured the voltage before and after a ride. Typically it goes up to around 13,10v after a ride, then drops to around 12,9v when the system has turned into sandby. Over night it drops 0,02-0,04v. I guess this should be OK?

According the above I also conclude that the alternator is OK.

When the problem occurs I am able to turn on the lights, I can also turn on the radio and the A/C. But turning the key to stage 3 nothing happens. Not even a sound from the starter.

Last time it happend it was very hot weather. The battery droped from 13,10v to 12,6v in about 5 hours - and the car would not start. I had it jumped and it started immediately. I am not sure if it ought to start at 12,6v.

Does anyone have an idea on what is going on?

how old is the battery if i recall correctly my battery terminal voltage at stand still is approx 13.5v and rises to about 14.5 when the engine is running. sounds like you need a new battery to me.
There's an alternative. There's always a third way, and it's not a combination of the other two ways. It's a different way

I see you've made you're decision now lets see you enforce it.
