can anyone tell me where the fuse if for the number plate lights ?

I have checked the fuse box in the glovebox, but can't see anything relating directly to the number plate lights.

Basically neither light works, and before I check the wiring etc, I just want to make sure that the fuse is ok.

    Thanks

Hello, check this link, these guys are having the same problem. Apparently, it's either 9 or 32.

The fuses will prob be ok. i had the same problem and it was the bulb holders had corroded and wasnt making a contact anymore. I had to replace the whole light unit with one from ebay.

OP try a search on the forum, someone has retrofitted LEDs at a fraction of the cost of a new replacement unit

Did you try to clean the contacts at all ?

Mine are a bit green admittedly, but I didnt think it would cause both to fail

I might try to give mine a good clean first to see where it gets me.

Can anyone tell me the correct wattage for the festoon bulbs for the number plate light ?

Also, regarding the led light replacement, after reading a few threads, is £25 around the correct price ?

    thanks

NNNOOOOO, I got mine from a seller in Hong Kong, they were like £3.49 I think or something like that. Should only be a few quid, defo nothing over a fiver. They usually have like 8 mini LED's inside, shine white with a very light blue tinge to them. Look very nice. You'll need to measure the length of your bulb, and get one that is close enough to it, more or less a couple of mm is fine.
