    Guys

Is there any common faults on the rear power windows of the coupe?

Basically they have never workon on my car since purchase, after investigation the motor on the drivers side was disconnected, I would later find out why!
The passangers side motor is connected
No power to pass side motor when switch activated in either direction
When i plugged in the drivers side motor, it would open but not close, I had to remove and manually put a power source on the motor to close it.
I had the switches out and belled them out, they was fine, confirmed by using a wire link on the loom to switch.

From a drawing in the haynes manual the power goes to the window switch then to the GM unit and then to the motor, it seems the GM unit or wiring going to it is at fault, im also guessing this is not a simple repair and would not be worthwhile, esp since ive only just had the GM unit repaired by a member of this site for a central locking issue.

    Any advice most welcome

    Dave

Have you had a look at the wiring from here just to be sure? http://www.bmw-planet.com/diagrams/release/en/

thanks ronnie, it shows the same unles im missing something, leaves switch then to GM5 which kicks out a seperate output to the motors, seems a wierd fault to me, as i said passager rear vent motor has nothing going to it and drivers just will open but not close,
