    Yes, it should be OK, it'll just mean the emissions aren't going to be great.

    The next code read will help with the current problem, whatever it is

    When it idle's it kinda jerk's just a tiny little bit, but not all the time, but a few times. . . if that kinda make's sence to you haa haa

    it could be a slight misfire every now and again, if misfire comes up on the fault codes, it will probably be the coil pack

    My EML has been going on and off over the last 3 months on my 320d. It came on again yesterday but it still got through its MOT today with only 0.7 emissions.I spoke to local BMW agent and they said their diagnostics machine is £96 per hour. A mechanic had suggested replacing a filter on the rocker cover but BMW checked my cars history and this was replaced last service Oct 2009 and say I will have to come in and get it checked on the machine.

    Gordon -a number of other garages will also be able to read fault codes to a basic level, and many will be on BMW level too
