Ok the problem im getting is when i push the electric window switch down the window doesnt go down i have to hold the switch in the up position for around half a minute then push the switch down then the window will go down. If i have the window half way and want it to go down all the way and i press the switch down then the window will go up. Then i have to hold the the switch up and repeat the process over again. Can anyone help with this if this has happened to you before.

have you tried another switch mate to rule out a faulty one?

As Deano16v suggests, try another switch if possible. (Maybe can swap the passenger side switch in just to try.)
Unfortunately the relays for the electric windows are a royal pain to get to let alone change as I seem to remember they are integrated/soldered into the GM5 control module along with the central locking relays.
EDIT: Does you car have the convenience window opening function where if you hold the unlock button on the fob when unlocking all windows go down? If that works OK then it points towards the switch being bad.
