amongst many of the problems i have with my 318ci, i tend to keep getting flat battery.

what i have noticed is, when i park car up, remove key and check i have everything before i get out of my car, i noticed that the blowers are still running on the car.

i can return to the car an hour later, and blowers are still on, not full speed, but definitely blowing air out still.

i have changed the relay to the blowers as i thought it may be sticking, but after a few weeks it still does it, so possible relay has gone again or it could be something else.

to stop me getting a flat battery, i remove the 40amp fuse each night (if i remember).

has anyone else seen this or had this, and any ideas for a permanent fix.

other than this, the heater works fine during driving, air con works fine, so speed surges in blower speeds.

    thanks in advance.

i some how knew this was going to be my answer.

looks like a trip to GSF (i get discount there)

also, in my last line of text of my thread starter, it read

other than this, the heater works fine during driving, air con works fine, so speed surges in blower speeds.
    when it should have said

other than this, the heater works fine during driving, air con works fine, NO speed surges in blower speeds.
so this is still classic symptoms of 'final stage resistor' i presume.

    let's price em up.

If the blowers are still running without ignition turned on, then it is still down to a faulty the FSU

I'm not too keen on buying aftermarket, but if the pennies are holding you back, then it's probably your best choice.
