I have recently had a flat battery on my car.Having disonnected it and charged it the starter motor can be heard whirring but the solonoid is not engaging so the car wont start. It starts with a tow but will not start otherwise. Also the immobiliser seems to be malfunctioning, the car will not lock on the remote fob, it will only unlock and there are no flashing indicators or sirens when the car is opened either with the remote or with a key. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

..surely not...do the windows go down when you press up

If everything was working perfectly until the flat battery, then you charged it and now things don't work, try another battery if you can get your hands on one temporarily.
