    Thanks Colin,
Just as I feared, the door sensor is part of the lock actuator, not to fear as I did this exact repair on my old VW bora. It had a dry joint in the lock actuator. I'll wait until the weather is nice and take the door apart.

Although I'm still suspecting the door jam connector, as it begins working after it rained heavily..

    Cheers

As the door sensor is solid state switch I'm guessing the door to body connector needs a squirt of contact cleaner. I think the connector boot may be letting water in as sometimes the door sensor works after it's rained hard.

I have fixed many things on cars this way, I've seen a lot of people throwing money at new parts when it's actually harness plugs and connections that have been at fault.!

I'll take it off today and try and clean that first, if not then the door card needs to be removed.!

    Cheers Colin.!
