    Hi all,

After having the car quite a while I decided to get the mirrors working. Found the fuse blown so I replaced it and the mirrors worked for a bit before blowing the fuse again. After pulling apart the mirrors to clean the contacts and 4 fuses later I have worked out that only vertical adjustment is blowing the fuse. Horizontal adjustment on both mirrors is fine however when I try to adjust them vertically the motor works briefly but blows the fuse without actually moving the mirror. I wonder if the motors are seized, would this cause the fuse to blow? I wondered this because I am unable to move the cog on the top motor which controls vertical adjustment.

I am thinking to go to a wrecker a get replacement drive assemblies unless someone else knows if it may be a problem other than bad motors.

Any help would be much appreciated.

if you have a spare battery take them off try ajusting them with the
motor showing then you can see whats happening, could be a wire
touching somewhere.have you looked at switch could be the problem.
