    i got quoted £120 from a local company to fit a keyless entry system i bought from ebay for £150.....i was thinking this is quite alot, whats anyone else think???

    Firstly I think you paid too much for the keyless entry? Isit branded and does it have an alarm with it?

    You can get a toad cat1 alarm fitted for around £250 or less these days. Or you could always fit it yourself, not hard as all the wires you need are behind the glovebox

    As Sham said, thats alot to pay from eBay... What is it you bought ?

    But £120 to fit it, I don't think is too bad... Maybe get a couple more quotes first ?

    hi thanks for the replys its from UAS its a kelyess entry system plus alarm too from america, yeah ive had a issue with the cluster behind my glove box apparently for my car which is not pre-wired the wires are at the drivers side?? i havent yet had time to look because of all the snow but hopefully ill be able to fit it myself. i just thought if some1 would charge maybe like £60 it wud b easier to let them do it any1 else fitted the same kinda thing? my car is a e36 compact 316i i think these cars are abit diffrent to most bm's correct me if im wrong

    IIRC non of the euro spec models where pre-wired to take an alarm. UK cars had them fitted as a extra option. Its not hard really to fit, but £60 would be taking the cake lol its approximately a 2-4 hour job depending how fast they work.

    I had a e36 318ti before me e36 vert and they're the same behind the glovebox, most bmw's in the e36 range are if not all.
