HI, after alot fo messing about the Carsoft interface has given the following faults to my laptop (although it still fails to read the rest of the codes)

    Heres goes, first one:-

    DME MS42.0
    BMW part number: 7500255
    Hardware no: 00
    Software no: E3
    Diagnose index: 60
    Code Index: 00
    Bus Index: C0
    Production Date: 18/00

    DME41_FE.DXT 228, 227 (The fault codes I think)

    And the Second one is:

    EGS 7.32

    Supplier: Bosch
    Device Nr: 1423642
    Haqrdware no: 28
    Diagnose index: 10
    Bosch Hardware No: 0000000000
    Bosch Software No: 192
    Production No: X17

    egs3_feh.dxt: 56 (The fault codes I think)

Anyone know what it could be?

    DME Fault code
227 = Fuel trim bank 1, permissible range exceeded.
228 = Fuel trim bank 2, permissible range exceeded.

EGS is gearbox code, I shall have a look and see if i have it but think not.

You obviously got Carsoft working then

Off the top of my head they are lambda codes, meaning the lambda sensors are getting a mixture that isn't right, due to a air leak or exhaust blow.

I will double check Monday at work and posty back

Them codes are relative to a air leak or exhaust blow before the CAT, other items are carbon on the injectors or weak fuel pressure
