1999 E46 328ci climate control malfunction. The unit works for about 10 mins normally at the start of a journey. Then the face vents blow cold as well as the footwell vents. Increaseing the temperature setting to 25 degrees C on auto with aircon on, the system produces heat in the right places. I am advised that this could be a faulty final stage recifier ( hedgehog) fault?. Where is it located and how difficult to change

OP, that not the symptom of a failing FSR. Sounds more like a problem with the heater core or water valve.
