noticed my coupes drivers door doesn't do the drop/lift action when opening and closing the door. The window works fine, as does the one touch up and down etc, just not when opening & closing :(

Also noticed when i lock the car the indicators don't flash for the alarm......have I disabled this in some way or does that mean the alarms stopped?

    any help appreciated guys

For the window - When you open and close the door, does the interior light come on and off as it should ? If not, then it'll be the door switch. If it does, then it could be a wiring fault or the ZKE.

For the alarm - Is it standard, or aftermarket ?

Dont know about the lights, they're definatly on when i unlock the car will have to try opening the door once they've gone off.

alarm is standard bmw, they did flash last week when arming, which is why it seems odd really

Yes - Check the interior lights with the door. It'll tell you whether the switch is working or not.

For the alarm, does it work correctly (Go off when you open a door while armed ?).
Check all the fuses in the fuse box. Could just be that.

I think it may be a fuse issue, the buzzer for leaving the headlights on doesn't work either now lol

I think these are what your after: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...61&hg=61&fg=35

Seem abit pricey for just a switch.

And they don't say where they actually are - I've got an E36, and mine are behind the door latch, thats attached to the body. You can have a look to see if yours are there.
