Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice.

I have a 1999 BMW 318ci Coupe, it was involved in a low level flood a number of months ago and it has a few problems that I believe to be related:

The Electric windows do not work from the switch (I have used a power probe and the motors are ok)
The central locking doesn't work off the button but does from the key.
The indicators do not work (if I press the hazards the button flashes but not the bulbs themselves)
    The wipers don't work
The ODB scanner (Autologic) does not read the full system (comes up with comms errors)

I have dismantled the fuse box and cleaned all connection, replaced all fuses and relays, replaced the GM5 Box.

I have now done everything I can think of hence I am looking for advice

    Thanks in advance, Dave

All those problems are controlled by the body electrics module Dave. Also knowns as ZKE or General Module.

Thanks for the response Neil, the GM5 module has been replaced and also a number of connectors within the main block that connects to the GM5, problem still the same!

I have also tried getting into the system via the round diagnostics plug under the bonnet still get a 'no comms' error.

The Diagnostics system I am using performs the same functions (and more) that the BMW Dealerships can perform so it definately not this at fault (cost 12k)

Have you checked all power and ground supplies to the GM5, and is the k bus signal ok at the GM5, if you have all of these then you should be able to communicate with it.

You have to presume that if the power, ground and k bus are present then the GM5 is faulty.
