    Hi all,
I am new to the bmw world, used to be a vaux fan but things have changed

I have got myself a tidy 1999 528i SE Auto and have since discovered a weird electrical problem!

When i switch the sidelights on, the front 2 indicators stay on (no flash) and the sidelights don't come on. I have tried the indicators while the sidelight switch is on and the indicators still flash. Weird! Oh and its still like this when the headlights are on...

Does anyone have a clue on what might be at fault here? Or do I have to go to an auto electrician?

Check the connections at the lights and that the bulbs are tight and making a good connection. Could be a bad earth

Do the side lights work with the ignition off? if no then that is normal, you need to replace the side light bulbs. 2 501 style bulbs

Lol sorted thanks. Simple things cause the most hassle! Just gotta find some reasonably priced rear springs ans rear suspension arm pin bearing thing, then i'm sorted for MOT :-)
