Has anybody found out how to turn the chirp on yet when the alarm is switched on and off. The alarm with the fob with the grey and red buttons ?

It could be the type of alarm module you have as I am told that there were 3 types fitted and only 1 of them did the chirp. (not sure of that though)
If you could give us your alarm module number I could find out for you. (I'm out and about atm so can't check my part number to compare against mine, sorry)

The other thing is to check the connections to the siren as it possible they are loose or corroded (mine was loose and after I put it back in my chirp came back )

Hope you get it sorted mate

is it the standard bmw one fitted 3G EWS 2 if so it should chirp just looking in the manual for it and it has no instructions in there to activate/deactivate any options on it, just says your bmw dealer can programme to your individual requirements

Failure of the siren is often the cause of the chirp stopping - does the siren work OK if you set the alarm off by accident? If not then the chirp and its volume can be reprogrammed by the dealer or possibly a Sigma alarm specialist.
