Hi All, First post so here we go. I have a 1999 E36 323i Touring and, in the past, fitted some more powerful headlight bulbs, 12v 100w bulbs and previously Phillips 'Blue Light' (?) 55w bulbs (the ones that give an intense white light). Both type blew after a few weeks/months of use. The bulbs in the main beams seemed to last longer but these are used less. Could it be that on the E36 the headlight unit glass is faired in behind the 'front glass' so does not get such effective cooling, as I guess that these high power bulbs burn hotter? Anyone else experienced this with an E36? Cheers, Dave.
