I need to get my temperature gauge workin as at the moment it shoots straight up to red and stays on red when ignition is on.
Can I rewire a aftermarket gauge to the exciting temp sensor on the side of the rad?

Are you sure that the sensor/wiring are working correctly? If they flick straight they are not plugged in....
