Yeah... he may order the key without the proof but don't expect much in the way of discount

Guys a big thank you for all your advice (it was around the £70 mark in the end by the way), but i went back to the garage i bought the vehicle off and let them in on the fact that id spoken to the previous owner who informed me that he had given them ALL 4 KEYS!!!!

    T0ssers!!!!

Turns out that when i gave them the choice of finding and giving me the keys they already had - or me sending them the invoice for the new one's, they were keen on the previous option..............how odd!!!!!

anyway picking all the keys up on saturday.

as tony the tiger would say 'ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat'!

looks like £80 odd quid it is...............might have to pull some favours in from a friend of a friend who works in a stealership!!!!
I have a 1997 e39 Touring and have just been quoted a price of 250 Euros at the main dealer here in France for a second key! Thats about £225! Can anybody confirm the price of £80 in England please? Does that price include all work/programming needed to get the new key to function?

It could be a mistake but I don't understand why the difference in price!

    Thanks
    Paul
