Hi

I have a 1999 E36 328i convertible, thats covered a genuine 38K miles. Anyways, one of my pet hates is the MPG guage/swingometer which I regard as being as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

I have access to an M3 Evo (manual) instrument cluster with about 90K miles on it and I am curious to know if I can swap bits like the red needle pointers from the M3 dials to replace the 328 white needles...and if i can swap over the mpg guage to the oil temp guage........(which will obviously need the temp sender fitted near to the oil filter....

Whats everyone else done..... I know some folk have just fitted the entire M3 instrument cluster into their 328....but then my car will then report 90K miles and not the genuine 38K miles......and i am really not keen recoding stuff....

Or should I just not bother ?

Any info would be appreciated
