    Hi All
On removal of my offside(driver)side headlight, I have came across a plug with the number BMW 1 378 400 on it, there are 2 wires on is green with black stripe and other is green with yellow stripe, its approx 1.5 metres from where it breaks out of the loom and it heads forward towards the headlight and then enough length past it to get to the middle of the radiator, anyone know what this plug is?
I cannot find a vacant socket for this plug.
    Thanks
    Nick

I put the part number into RealOEM and this is what I got: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...3&fg=10&hl=126
It's plug number 11 your on about.

Something to do with the indicator.

Is the indicator plugged in and working ?

    Hi Ferret,
Yes indicator works fine, as i'd just plugged it back in when i found this one. but it was literaly dangling down behind the headlight when i found it.
I guess it could be outside temp however i dont have an OBC. So am a bit lost on it.
Does that bentley manual or haynes manual give electrical info?
    will have to buy one.
unles someone could look for me.
    Thanks
    Nick

OBC temp sensor is on the passenger side.

On my old Saloon, there was a 'sensor' of some description in the drivers side ducting, but it was flat, not like the OBC's temp sensor. But still looked like it could be a temp sensor.
No idea what it was actually for.

It's possible your car had this sensor, but it's fallen off ?
