Hi all, right slight problem with the alarm on my e36 323i, the key fob has stopped working so i cant unlock the doors unless using my key which then sets off my hazards for 25 flashes the car still drives fine but when i open the windows or doors the hazards flash another 25 times which is frustrating, the lights on the fob itself work so im guessing not battery problems and according to my manual its a 3g ews cat 1 alarm/immobiliser any ideas would be greatly appreciated before i contact an alarm specialist tomorrow oh and sorry about the novel ! many thanks

I would still try changing the fob battery, as it doesn't take much power to illuminate the battery.

As for the problem at the moment, try disconnecting the battery, then turn your Ignition on to the Aux 2 position, then reconnect the battery and see if the alarm goes off again.
